Other Required Skills Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Accounting or related field from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related systems analyst or application support experience with at least 3 years of work on PeopleSoft Financials 8.x or 9.0; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Solid understanding of noted PeopleSoft Financials modules, including their underlying table structure & data dependencies - specifically general ledger and accounts payable.

Proven experience in providing production support to financial system users, and the ability to demonstrate a functional understanding of the supported applications.

Previous experience developing reports with PS Query, PS nVision, Crystal or comparable reporting writing tools.

Working knowledge of SQL and relational database architecture.

Functional knowledge of Accounting practices.

Understanding and experience with enterprise-wide financial systems.

Must possess strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team.

Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that can energize multi-disciplined work teams to respond to business needs.

Must possess outstanding interpersonal, conflict resolution, organizational and customer service skills.

Familiarity with basic project management methodologies and tools.

Must be able to work under very constrained timelines when applicable.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize while remaining flexible.

Self-starter team player eager to learn and equally capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.

Ability to adapt to different applications based on project needs and work effectively with vendors, contractors and across business units.

Demonstrated ability to learn new applications and accompanying business processes.

PeopleSoft Financials software skills required (version 8.x 9.0, GL, AP, AM, PC modules). Certification in PeopleSoft training preferred.

Basic database skills such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.

Intermediate Excel skills.

Basic Outlook and MS Word skills.

Job Description
  Provide business analysis, functional and technical support for several financial applications, including but not limited to PeopleSoft Financials, treasury management, travel and expense, internally developed financial systems, and other bank or financial related software.

Provide both functional and technical support to user groups of various financial systems, primarily PeopleSoft Financials, for issues such as system configuration, ongoing maintenance, end user training, interfaces and reporting.

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot interfaces, software bugs, reports and software customizations utilizing delivered application tools or other tools as determined.

Collaborate with team members and user community on resolution of more complex issues.

Develop reports for supported applications and various user groups utilizing delivered application tools such as nVision, PS query, SQL query, and other reporting tools.

Work directly with the development team to achieve stated deliverables and ensure requirements are met as defined & accepted.

Perform initial system testing and work with user group to develop full test plans and manage user acceptance testing for application fixes and project initiatives.

Clearly understand and document business processes relevant to supported applications and readily transfer knowledge on solutions designed.

Responsible for understanding and developing system documentation covering such items as customizations, interfaces, reports, and end user training materials.

Perform business analysis tasks on project initiatives including compiling and analyzing data, proposing various approaches and solutions, defining and documenting business requirements, helping to design future business processes, performing fit/gap analysis, process re-engineering, and assisting in implementation efforts.

Work as a team player within project initiatives and able to execute assigned tasks as required for the successful progression and completion of the project.

Understand the project lifecycle, how to identify issues and propose reasonable solutions, and the context in which the project falls within the group and overall organization.

Participate in project initiatives in various capacities as needed, such as providing project management support, developing functional and technical design documents, assisting in the determination and tracking of resource allocation and utilization.

Responsible for following established change control process and preparing related documentation, including such items as Change Requests, Requirements Definition Documents and Test Plans.

Work with outside contractors to support projects as needed.

Research software to stay knowledgeable on new enhancements.

Provide project status updates to management and customers.

Openly share knowledge and effectively respond to requests for information on specific issues/problems within the organization.

Effectively utilize support tracking and knowledge base systems.

Make recommendations to improve Company processes and methodologies.

Effectively understand and communicate Company policy and practices when dealing with co-workers and clients.
